On July 23, 2024, Ms. Remedios M. Perdido and Atty. Cleofe Joy A. Isidro-Pacunana virtually attended the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework ( GMEF) Training-Workshop organized by the NAPOLCOM Technical Working Group (GAD-TWG).
This Training-Workshop aims to enhance the capacity of NAPOLCOM's GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) members in formulating the GAD Agenda and preparing the agency's annual GAD Plans and Budget.

On March 14, 2024, the NAPOLCOM Regional Office 02 organized a Basic Self-Defense training session as one of its activities for the 2024 National Women’s Month Celebration. The training aimed to empower women and promote their capabilities under the sub-theme “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas; Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan!” (Equal Society in the New Philippines; The Capability of Women, Proven!).
The Basic Self-Defense training session likely covered practical techniques and strategies for self-protection, situational awareness, and assertiveness training. Participants would have had the opportunity to learn valuable skills that enhance their confidence and resilience in various situations.
Overall, this event serves as a meaningful contribution to the National Women’s Month Celebration, emphasizing the importance of women's empowerment and their ability to thrive in an equal and just society.

The NAPOLCOM Regional Office 2 remains steadfast in its commitment to provide better service to its clientele by fully utilizing the Document Tracking and Management System (DTMS).
In this regard, the Human Resource Management Section (HRMS) facilitated an in-house DTMS Training for all its employees with Ms. Ma. Theresa L. Binayug, Administrative Aide VI, as the resource speaker on February 15-16, 2024.
The DTMS covers the management of documentation, document security, access control, centralized storage, streamlined search, retrieval, and indexing of documents sought to improve the effectiveness of digitalized services and the overall efficiency of the utilization of government resources within the Organization.

Road to PRIME-HRM Accreditation Begins!
On October 05, 2023, the National Police Commission Regional Office 02 initiated the conduct of The Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) Orientation for the Members of the Committee and Regional Personnel of this Office. The main objective of which is to inculcate meritocracy and excellence in the public service human resource management.

ConOver 60 participants from the Central and regional offices attended the hybrid three-day seminar and workshop with resource speakers from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA).

NAPOLCOM Regional Office 2 participates in the 2023 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 8, 2023 pursuant to Cagayan Valley Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CVDRRMC) Memorandum No. 13, s. 2023. nbsp;
Concerned offices/agencies, LGUs and other partner stakeholders are enjoined to conduct significant drills and exercises on June 8, 2023 at 9:00 AM to highlight the importance of disaster preparedness during earthquakes as well as validating and enhancing the effectivity of contingency plans for response at all levels and sectors.
The NAPOLCOM Regional Office 2 led by Manuel L. Pontanal, Regional Director, virtually meet with the Internal Quality Auditors Ms. Anna Lissa A. Garcia, IQA Lead Auditor, Mr. Donald B. Mangaoil and Ms. Lucia C. Niez, IQA Associate Auditors for the first day of the Internal Quality Audit on May 2, 2023.
The opening meeting was attended by all NAPOLCOM RO2 officials and employees for the presentation of the itinerary, as well as issues and concerns before the audit will commence.
The five-day internal quality audit is scheduled on May 2-8, 2023. Through the IQA, the audit team will evaluate the Regional Office' continued compliance with existing regulations, procedures, and the over-all effectiveness and quality of its management system in conformity with the standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001-2015 towards the continual improvement of the systems, processes, and services of the Commission.
