On March 17, 2026, a joint anti-illegal drug operation conducted by personnel of the Dupax del Sur Police Station and the 2nd Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Mobile Force Company at Sitio Gunot, Brgy. Kimbutan, Dupax del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya resulted in the eradication of a marijuana plantation with an estimated value of Twenty Million Pesos (₱20,000,000.00). Subsequently, a Memorandum dated March 18, 2026, was submitted reporting the details of the successful operation. In recognition of the exemplary performance of the operating units, commendations dated April 6, 2026 were issued by the Vice Chairperson and Executive Officer of NAPOLCOM, Atty. Rafael Vicente R. Sales, followed by the presentation of the seminar overview by Officer-in-Charge, Technical Services Division, Ma. Irene Isabel C. Cabel. In his inspirational message, Director Rañeses emphasized the importance of reinforcing police-community relations across all units. The lecture proper covered the Legal Basis and Overview of CSOP discussed by Atty. Kathleene Keith R. Benzon, and the Implementation of the CSOP Framework, Projects, and Activities presented by Police Inspector III Christopher G. Binoya. The activity concluded with closing remarks from Acting Assistant Regional Director Engr. Rey Arvin P. Serrano, underscoring the need for sustained collaboration and commitment. One of the highlights of the celebration was the Search for the “Showcasing Local Initiatives in Crime Prevention: A CSOP-Aligned Recognition and Documentation Program,” where the Regional Office selected and endorsed the Regional Winners as entries to the NAPOLCOM Central Office for the national level search. In line with this, we deemed it fitting to bestow plaques and certificates of recognition to the regional winners and runners-up as a token of appreciation for their remarkable performance, innovative initiatives, and meritorious accomplishments in crime prevention. Likewise, part of the ceremony was the Awarding of Plaques of Recognition and Certificates of Commendation for the Search for Best Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) for CY 2025. This recognition underscores the vital role of WCPD units in safeguarding the rights and welfare of women and children while promoting a community anchored on safety, protection, and respect. The Awarding Ceremony was meaningfully integrated into the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony on September 8, 2025 at Police Regional Office 2, Camp Marcelo A. On July 31, 2025, Regional Director Ramon M. Rañeses, MNSA, CESO IV, served as Guest of Honor and Speaker during the Culminating Ceremony of the 30th Police Community Relations Month (PCRM) held at the Cagayan Police Provincial Office (CPPO). In his keynote address, Director Rañeses lauded the efforts of the Philippine National Police and its community partners in fostering stronger police-community relations. He highlighted the significance of collaborative governance, public trust, and proactive community engagement in achieving sustainable peace and order. He also commended CPPO for its unwavering support of the Commission’s programs and for actively promoting the PCRM’s core advocacy of “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Ang Gusto ng Pulis, Ligtas Ka”. The event was a fitting conclusion to a month-long celebration marked by inter-agency partnerships, community outreach activities, and public safety campaigns reflecting the shared commitment to a safer and more empowered citizenry.

The meeting was initially presided by the Chairperson of the CV-RPOC, Hon. Atty. Jose V. Gambito, Governor, Province of Nueva Vizcaya. He warmly greeted the various Regional Directors and other representatives of member agencies. He proudly informed the body that with the declaration of the Province of Nueva Vizcaya as Insurgency Free, investors are now signifying their intentions to invest in the Province. He later directed the Vice Chairperson of CV-RPOC to preside in the person of PBGen Antonio P Marallag Jr, Regional Director, PRO2. Situational updates pertaining to peace and order in the Region were presented specifically by the AFP, PNP, BFP and PDEA. Notably, as per report from the Philippine Army, there was already a significant decrease in the number of Communist Terrorist Group in the Region, reducing it to nine (9) with nine (9) firearms with them. Likewise pressing issues and concerns were addressed like the request of the Province of Isabela, through its representative, Mr. Patrick Kim Agbayani, Public Order and Safety Officer, for the renewal of the LTO deputation of the members of the I-SMART and the conduct of training relative thereto. Another is the inclusion of the Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office 02 as an additional member of the CV-RPOC. Furthermore, the CV-RPOC issued a Resolution creating a Technical Working Group (TWG) tasked with drafting a contingency plan for human-induced calamities to be chaired by the Office of the Civil Defense Region 02 which will accord strategic response of the Council in so far as peace and order is concerned.
